Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V is a pretty decent game. That is all.

Just kidding! It’s pretty awesome! I enjoy it, even though I haven’t played it in a while. I loved Grand Theft Auto IV. My favorite part was going to the parks and knocking people off the benches with a baseball bat. It would never be fatal, but it was enough to make them angry and chase me around the park. It was like herding sheep. It was more so like running away from the bulls, but I could always outrun them or dodge them in the streets. It was one of my pastimes.

In GTAV, though, there are so many things to do; I haven’t even bothered to find the park. I won’t go into details on what I like to do, but I will drop a hint. It involves melons.

The graphics are lovely and they have not let me down. The music has a lot of songs I know, and a bigger variety than last time. I have a hard time with the missions, but that’s because I suck at video games and I’m not a hardcore player. It’s the fact that I suck at video games that I am a casual player.

I have two complaints for this game. First of all, why haven’t then made the app for Chop for the android? I don’t have an iPhone or iPad, which sucks. Second of all, the cops are really annoying and persistent. I mean, great, they are more realistic to actual cops. Now that they are more realistic to actual cops, it’s more difficult to get away from them. Since they took it down to 5 stars instead of 6, they get angrier at a faster pace. For me, since I suck at video games, makes it difficult for me. It makes me want to be less violent, because I don’t want the SWAT team on my rump. At least the cops are doing their jobs.

Other than that, it’s a great game. I suggest you get it if you don’t have it already. I was lucky to get this game as a gift. I appreciate the gift-giver with all of my heart.

Have a great day! J

Kirby Triple Deluxe: First Impressions

So if you haven’t heard or seen anything about the newest Kirby game that will be releasing, you need to go watch a YouTube video about it right now.

The game is called Kirby Triple Deluxe, and it is already released in Japan! Lucky people they are!

From the get go, this game looks amazing! I mean, all Kirby games look awesome, but this stunning in comparison to today’s standards. It brings back nostalgia, on top of having new features as well. The game doesn’t look all the difficult either, which is kind of a usual for Kirby games in my eyes. Most of all look at Kirby. Look at how adorable he is! You can’t just ignore that!

So if you like cool and cute things, and are looking for a platformer, this might be something to consider when March comes around.  I am definitely looking forward to it.

With that, I hope you have a great day! J

Pokemon, Saints Row IV, and League of Legends

Hey, everyone XD!

How's your day been?

Well, I've been preoccupied with trying to catch up on Pokemon: Y and finishing up Saints Row IV.

For Pokemon, I finally beat the Elite Four...YES! Now I got a lot of stuff to do before PokeBank becomes available for download. Right now, I'm chasing an Articuno around the region. A friend told me I have to encounter it 10 times before I can capture it......great....so yeah, that's going on.

If you want my Friend Code, check out our "Friend Codes and Game Names" page.

Saints Row IV, is really fun. Really like all the superpowers you get, kind of stinks though it takes you away from normally driving around and seeing the sights like in previous Saint Row games. I'm half-way through the game, so I'll be expecting more awesomeness and crazy shenanigans.

As for LoL, I haven't been playing that in a while. Need to start playing it again. Hopefully, sometime soon I can finally get into some Rank matches and probably go for Silver. We'll see.

Friend Codes and Game Names

So, I remember a long time ago, I said that I was going to give my friend code away for my 3DS and my Steam Name. I never did that.

So, first of all, I’m sorry about that. Second of all, we have a new page that will include everyone's game names and codes! So if you want to add anyone of us, it will be there!

I also want to note that I am NOT a hardcore player. I also despise FPS and war games, and will only play them in social situations. Those social situations is specifically if they free-2-play and a friend asks me to play, or I am over at a friend’s house. I don’t personally own any FPS or war games. Just because I don’t play FPS or war games, or that I am not a hardcore player, it doesn’t mean that I hate all hardcore players. The only exception to that rule is Grand Theft Auto V, because open world games are awesome. If you are tolerant of other people’s gaming views, and don’t criticize me, or anyone else, for being a casual player, then you are an awesome person in my book. I can’t say same thing for intolerant, ignorant, arrogant hardcore gamers, though.

That is all for now. Have a great day. J

Papa's Freezeria

So I've been kind of addicted lately to this flash game that has been going around. I don't know how long it has been out or how they do it, but when I start playing it, I'm on it for a few hours.

Papa's Freezeria is one of those cooking games. Think of it kind of like Diner Dash. You get orders, you make the orders, then give out the orders in a good time. With the money you earn, you can upgrade your restaurant to speed up your prep time, or you can buy decorations to increase the customers time they are willing to wait.

If you aren't in the mood for ice cream, they have other variations of the game, from cupcakes, to chicken wings, and many more.

If you ever get bored or have some free time on your hands, you should give it a try. I'll even put the link here for you. I would put the game on here, but I don't want to bombard you with ads that have sound.

Here's the link to the game!

Have a great day. :)

Discontinue the Wii U?

Some people believe that it is a good idea for Nintendo to completely discontinue the Wii U and make a new gaming system. I personally believe that would be a stupid move for Nintendo to do. I would be mad, since I want a Wii U but can't get one right now. I definitely want a Wii U way more than a PS4 or an Xbox One.

I think people are looking at the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, and think that the Wii U should be the same as those systems. I don’t think those people realize that we are talking about Nintendo, not Microsoft or Sony. If people want a system like an Xbox One or PS4, those people should get an Xbox One or a PS4.The Wii U may not be as powerful as the Xbox One and the PS4, but it's a lot better than the Wii.

Nintendo caters towards a family-friendly audience. Their games were safe for everyone to play, regardless if you were casual or a hardcore gamer, and that is still the case (Note, I am talking about first party games, not third party games).

Now if you believe the family-friendly audience is just a bunch of "pathetic casual gamers", you are most likely apart of the “hardcore gamer anti-Nintendo” crowd. I have two things to say to those people.

First of all, that is rude and arrogant of you, on top of the fact that you insulted all families and casual gamers everywhere. That is bad, and you should feel bad.

Second of all, yes and duh!

Their target audience is families, and has always been families, and always will be families. The families are going to be the ones that generate the most money, since most likely at least one parent in the household will have a full-time job, if not both parents, and thus could afford the Wii U if they wanted to(if you can buy a house, a full-screen TV, and furniture, you can afford any system). It's the parents that are going to want their children to play video games that aren't bloody and gory, or have mature themes. Because of this, you're never going to see a first party game from that that plays like Call of Duty, Gears of War, or Grand Theft Auto V. Because there won’t be any FPS-heavy games, the Wii U doesn't need as much power as a Playstation 4 or Xbox One needs. For what Nintendo is best at, they have perfect amount of power. Could it use more power? More power is always better, but it isn't necessary for right now.

Nintendo will make a better system sooner or later. It’s only been one year since the system was released, and people are already demanding a new system from them. Do they think making a new system is easy? It takes more than a year to concept, create, and playtest a new system, let alone mass produce it.

What about the people that have a Wii U? Do those people not care who suffers as long as they get "MOAR POWAR"? Society is getting to the point that they think they are –entitled- to demand and receive anything they want from companies and expect them to beckon to their call on a whim. Those people need to realize that they personally aren't entitled to ANYTHING from Nintendo. Nintendo isn't any one person’s personal slave that has to listen to any of their personal demands. Nintendo is going to work at their own pace whether the people like it or not.

I don't know about you, but I play on Nintendo systems for Nintendo games. If I want a 3rd party game, I'll play on my Xbox 360. A lot of 3rd party games (not all of them, I will stress) on the Wii weren't that good. All the Nintendo games were amazing. For what the Wii U has, it has fantastic first party games. That's what they are good at. People need to stop trying to force Nintendo to fit into the standards of what aren’t good at. There are plenty of third party games on the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, it’s not like the Wii U is the only system available.

As for the first party games and the lack of them, Nintendo is making more games for the Wii U! Nintendo isn't a bunch of robots that can pop out a game every month. It takes TIME to create a video game, and it takes even more to make a video game of great quality.

If the people still want to argue that Nintendo had time to make more games, then I would like to see those people create a video game. Go make a video game with just as many levels as Super Mario 3D World, with 3D graphics, great level design, unique game mechanics, different game character play styles, awesome soundtrack(IE, a different song for every world, not just one song for the whole game), and put it out in a few months. Oh, and it has to run smoothly, have no bugs, any story involved has to make sense, and has to be family friendly(so it can't be stupidly hard, and can't be a bloody shooter like Call of Duty). When you can do that, THEN you have the right to complain.

Besides, there are already a billion games out there already you can play. I highly doubt that everyone has played every single game out on the market. If you haven't then you don’t have a reason to complain. You can go play other games that are on the market. If you HAVE played every game on the market, I'm scared for your life. You might have problems sir or madam (or both?), and you might have a bad addiction. This is probably a good sign that you should take a break and get some fresh air, and maybe consider that you should go get some help.

With that, I hope you have a great day. J

Donkey Kong Country Returns

Donkey Kong Country Returns was originally released on the Nintendo Wii in 2010, and then was recently ported to the Nintendo 3DS.  It the last game release in the Donkey Kong Country series so far. It was originally started and created by Rare, but the task has now been passed on to Retro Games.

Now, I personally haven’t gotten a chance to play this game, but I always thought that the series was pretty nice. Personally, I was more into the Donkey Kong Country’s OST. So instead, I got some opinions from friend of mine who has played the games himself.

Now according to him, the game has a few similarities, but also has many differences. He thinks that “Retro probably went into making this game not trying to copy what Rare did, but try to expand upon it and put their own spin on it.”

The game in general shares many similar features in regards of visual design. You have Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, and you run through levels bashing baddies. The landscapes are still of the tropical sort like it was in the original games.

In regards of gameplay, that is where most of the changes lie. While there is a bit of the old mechanics still in the game, apparently the characters themselves control differently than better.
“Donkey Kong doesn't really move the same way he did in DKC, he feels a lot heavier and his jump is a little more floaty” my friend stated when I asked him about if the two games were similar.

While the controls might take some getting used it, the game is not at all bad. It’s more like a re-invented experience of Donkey Kong Country, and you should give it a try if you have the money for it.

With that, I hope you have a great day. J

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - Final Thoughts

Guess who finished Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon? This girl!

Don't worry guys; it will be spoiler free of story. I will be discussing designs and mechanics of the game. If you don't want to even read of that, don't read anymore. This is only of my final thoughts of the game. Remember, they are my opinions; I have a right to them.

Ok, first of all.  The music was lackluster. For what they did have, it was nice. But, they only had 2 songs. There was main theme and some other song that they change up throughout the game. That is the only part of the game that I was unimpressed with. Nintendo, you could have done better than that. You could have done a LOT better than just two songs.
The game's graphics were outstanding. It might just be the artist in me, but I loved them. It was really pretty, and it all fit the spooky atmosphere that is Luigi's Mansion. On top of the design of the rooms, the sky was so breathtaking. I'm sorry; I am a fan of the night sky. One thing that I was a little disappointed in was the ghosts that you capture. I mean, don't get me wrong, they look awesome. There weren't any cool family member ghosts like in the last one, though. That was what disappointed me.

Moving on from the visual design of them, we go into the technical design. What you might know it as is the "gameplay". For the most part, it plays a lot like the first Luigi's Mansion did. You used control stick to run, R-button to suck up ghost, L-trigger to blow air for when you want to blow away stuff.
Now there are things that have changed about the gameplay, such as you no longer have elemental powers of fire, water, and ice. (Seriously though, last game you got them through coins. How do you even fire with a coin? Did it double as an install disc for the Poltergeist 3000? Did it turn Luigi into an elemental master? I don't even know.) Instead, your flashlight gains the ability to flash a giant burst of light, and then there was another flashlight ability that uncovered hidden objects. While they might sound boring at first, they did well to use all those abilities in puzzles. I promise you won't be sad that they took Luigi's elemental super powers away. Oh, and you can do quite a bit of running around, but you don't get too lost. There was only one time during the game I was like "...Where do I go? WHERE DO I GO?!"

For the enemies, their mechanics work fine, and they are quite clever.  You have your basic greenie ghost. Then you have the red slammer, that which if it gets close to you it will do this giant smash with its hands that makes a shockwave. Then you have the blue hider, who likes to hide in the furniture until you find them and throw things at you when you aren't paying attention. Then you have the pink sneaker, who are for the most part invisible up until they sneak behind you and either scare or hit you. Then we have my least favorite enemy, the yellow gobbler, who spits goo at you to which you can slip on. He will attempt to spit goo at you while you sucking you up, and if get hit it hurts you. He will also sit on you if you get too close to him while sucking him up trying to avoid him. The last of the ghosts I will mention is the purple creeper, which is basically a pile of goo that with bring you into its body if you step on him accidentally.

One thing that is for sure, the difficult stepped up in this game. Even the basic greenies will give you a hard time! Oh, I forgot one more thing Luigi's has this game: He can jump! While sucking up a ghost, you can make him jump with I think is B (It could be A, I don't remember). This is a very important mechanic to remember. If you don't, prepare to be hit a lot.

One mechanic I love about this game is that they added "lives". Well, they aren't necessarily lives, more like reward for exploring. There are these dog bones hidden in the mansion, and you can only find them when you have a lot of money. They don't carry over from level to level, so you can't grind them up. It never gets excessive either, I think the most I ever held in one level was two. But if you have at least one, and you die, you will be revived back to full health and continue where you left off! That is the greatest reward for being a greedy money man! So as long you continue looking for money, you won't have too much of a hard time.

The bosses were nice, and of course, you can't have a Luigi's mansion game without Boos. There was one boss, though, I hated with a passion. It wasn't even the boss itself; it was the area before you get to the boss. If you have played it, you might know what I am talking about. Other than that, I enjoyed all of the bosses.

Overall, I loved the game. The mechanics work and they incorporate them well, the mobs and bosses are fun, the designs are cool, and the story was enjoyable. I am glad they made this sequel for Luigi's Mansion, and I definitely recommend it that you play it.

With that, I hope you have a great day. :)

Skyrim Sadness

Hello guys~

So a good friend of mine got me Skyrim, a game I've been wanting since it came out. But now that I have it, I can't play it!

As most people know, it's a RPG where you can slay dragons and stuff. It's not a new game, but it is quite popular. It is also a very long game, and if you don't speed run it, you can clock in for 100+ hours.

The thing is that this laptop is really old. Like, It's a gateway, and I want to say it's about 6 years old, but I'm not sure. I've been using it for the last 2 years, but my mom has had it a lot longer than that. I mean, it still uses Vista. VISTA!

This laptop is not meant for gaming, and when I turned on Skyrim, the graphics card couldn't handle it, as well as it was lagging like crazy. So yeah, I am really disappointed about it. Hopefully, I will get a new laptop soon, because I will feel bad wasting my friend's money on a game that I can't play.

Ah well. That is all for now. Have a great day. :)

Monster Girl Quest

So I started playing that game now. It's rather...interesting. It an eroge visual novel, so not safe for work, folks!

The basic story is that a young boy named Luka has reached the age that he can become a Hero, and he goes on an epic quest to bring humans and Monster Girls into coexistence by going to defeat the Monster Lord. (If you are 18+ and don't know what Monster Girls are, go look it up. Don't look at me for sources, though). That's about all I will give about the game in regards of story, for spoiler's sake. On top of that, I need to be respectful for anyone underage that comes across this.

I just want to say this now: Do NOT look up Monster Girls if you aren't 18+. And don't ask me where to find such information. I won't tell you.

I would give you pictures of gameplay, but I don't want to risk anything.

As for gameplay itself, well it's mostly a visual novel. You'll be doing a lot of reading most of the time. There are some RPG elements, though. You fight monster girls and level up, there are even strategies to defeating some monsters. There are attacks and skills, and a defense. Then there are options that basically allow you to lose the fight. Why would there be options that would allow you to lose the fight, you ask? Well, why do YOU think there would be options that would allow you to lose the fight?

This game is normally only available to be bought in Japan, and only in Japanese text. If you want this game and are over 18, then you are going to have to search hard if you want to buy it. This game would be fun even if it wasn't eroge. The fact that it is just makes it the icing on the cake.

With that, I hope you have a great day. :)

So, this laptop...

The laptop I use is a Gateway model M 6332. I wasn't able to find this model's release date, and I was sad that I couldn't find it. Instead, I went to my mom and asked her when she bought the laptop. She told me she got it around 2007-2008. That means this laptop is 6-7 years old, about to be 7-8 years!

For those techy nerds, you can click here for it's specs.

Are you crying yet? I honestly don't know, I don't know how bad this laptop actually is. All I know is, this laptop makes it kinda hard for me to do anything. This is especially true since my major requires me to use Adobe programs on a weekly basis, and I can't even use demos of adobe programs because the require Windows 7 or higher. I have to use a program that allows me to use them remotely on my laptop. Even then, everything runs slowly.  Don't even get me started on trying to game on this laptop, or should I say "notebook"?

This laptop simply isn't meant for anything intense. It was probably meant for leisurely use, maybe for business use if all they plan to use are slideshows and other Microsoft Office stuff.

There are so many games I have on my Steam that I want to play, but I can't because it lags like nobody's business. No Bit.Trip games, no spiffy Sonic games, no MMORPG's. There are so many things that are cut off from my list that I can't play, and it really makes me sad. I have been sad that I haven't been able to play those games, but now it's coming more apparent of a problem.

First of all, I want to be able to play games for you guys and tell you about all fun I have. Second of all, my major is going to call for me to use more power-intensive programs all-around. I am a Multimedia Design and Development major with a concentration in Web game programming. There are quite a bit of Facebook games that run slow on my computer. If the games themselves run slow, how is it going to be when I'm going to need the programs to design those games on this?

I need a new computer. Not a laptop either, a desktop. My TV has the ports, so it could also double as a monitor. So all I would need is a computer, wireless keyboard, and a wireless mouse. I don't know the necessary specs that I would need for me to be able to do what I need it to do, as well as what I want it to do, really well.
All I know is that it needs to be fast and powerful enough for designing(specifically game programming and animation), as well as good for playing games like Skyrim or MMO's. It needs to be able to hold a lot of memory as well. I also like to use a wireless headset, so it also should have enough USB slots to cover all my wireless gear, as well as slots on top of that for flash drives/memory sticks. It needs SD slot for when I want to transfer music from my computer to my phone, or pictures from my phone to my computer. Most importantly, it needs to be a good deal. My mom's wallet isn't necessarily big, so the less expensive it is the better.

If you find any good deals on computer towers that can perform to what I need it to, let me know. It will be highly appreciated. With that, have a great day. :)

Audiosurf

Surfin'~! Aw, yeah~ Woooooo!

For a game called Audiosurf, it's more so like a driving game. But I can understand the point of the title. The game is music based, basing the level on your music. Surfing refers the the sound waves, as you race along the track collecting colors for points.

I consider it to be a casual racing game, if that fits together. The game is only intense if you want it to be intense. If you want it to be relaxing, you can just play a relaxing song. And you will never disagree with the game's soundtrack, because you use your own music! Well, maybe you won't like it if you don't like your own music. If that's the case, though, you should probably get different music.

The game is rather fun, as well as cheap due to the sale. It's nice to play during your spare time. I recommend it if you are into racing and music games.

With that, I hope you have a good day. :)

Little Inferno

Burn, baby, burn~ Little Inferno, yeah yeah~

So I just got Little Inferno last night, and you should have seen the excitement that was on my face. Things were about to go down!

It's a super-casual game of you just burning stuff in your fireplace to your heart's content. Think of it as...a fireplace simulator. There is no real goals or times to complete things in, but it is very fun if you have a bit of time on your hands. I've watched so many videos of other people playing Little Inferno, but it is just not the same as burning stuff yourself.

You can go so many ways about it. You can burn things one at a time, you can burn stuff all together. My personal way to do things is to set up a little scenario, and then watching it all burn down. <3

Like here, I made a stage and put these opera ladies on it.

The opera lady is one of my favorite items. Because when it burns...

It's so pretty! Look at it all burn up into beautiful flames as the rose petals fall from the sky~
! <3
They say it ain't over until the fat lady sings. Didn't think it was taken literally.

So yeah. I think it is still on sale. Its original price is $9.99, but I got it at $4.99 because of the winter sale. I don't think its going to get any lower, so if you have some leftover money grab Little Inferno. It's really fun.

With that, have a great day. :)
