Ok NOW It's new Year's Eve

Sorry, guys. Seems I was really out of it yesterday and was a day off. It's New Year's Eve for sure now, I swear!

I'm really close to beating Lugi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I am really loving it. Is it bad that I flinched/jumped in some parts? I mean the game is horror-like, but it isn't necessarily scary like Slenderman(Which I feel just have cheap jump scares. You don't have to have jump scares to make a horror game. I wouldn't know, though, I don't and I hate playing horror games. Minus Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon of course). Like I said, when I finish the game, I will give my final impressions.

Now I am trying to decide what of my games to play next. I have quite the bit of Steam games. Maybe I'll just go back to playing Rose Online. Maybe I'll start one of the Bit.Trip games. Maybe, just maybe, I'll start playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf again. Who knows.

Anyway, for reals this time, have a happy new year. Here's for the last blog post for 2013. Have a great day. <3

New Year's Eve

The new year is just around the corner, and almost everyone is doing the last-minute thrills before the new year is over. Some people are traveling and seeing the world, some are getting married, while others are just drinking and hanging out with family.

Me? Well, I'm just here. Home. Alone.  No friends, family or partner to hang out with.
I'm Jelly and I am fine...! *sigh*

Anyway, I don't want to talk about much today, so I will leave you with a game-related comic I drew last night.

I hope you all had a good year, make sure you enjoy yourselves(at least make up the fun for what I'm missing).  Have a great day, and a happy new year. :)

Other Games I got for Christmas

So like I mentioned, I got quite a bit of games for Christmas. I didn't get them specifically on the holiday itself, but it was for the purpose of that holiday, and that's all that matters to me.

One game that I mentioned that I recieved was Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. So far this game is really fun. It is a bit different from the first one, but not too much. It isn't too difficult either, which I like. The music...it could have more variety. But for what is there, I like it.

Another thing I mentioned I recieved was the Bit.Trip Collection. In this collection, it comes with Bit.Trip Beat, Core, Fate, Void, and Runner 1 and 2. It also came with some soundtracks, but I don't know how to access these soundtracks yet from my steam. Yes, people, I do have a Steam account. If you want to add me, my steam name will be at the end of the blog. I played the demos of a  few of these games on the Wii, and I enjoyed them. They for sure tested my rhythm skills though.

I also recieved Castle Crashers for the PC, from my Steam. This is a game I've wanted for a long time. I don't remember where it started from, but the first time I played it was on the Xbox 360. I played the game with my nephews and enjoyed myself a lot. I played as the pink DLC character, for which I got the DLCs for the game as well.

Lastly, I recieved the Trine collection, which was Trine 1 and 2. I haven't played these games before, but I saw some buddies on Youtube play it. That was what got me interested. I think it was Steam Rolled that was playing it. No, I remember, it was Steam Train that was playing Trine 2. It was a 3-team Steam Train, actually. Either way, it looked fun.

Of course, all of these games when I begin playing them, I will give you my first impressions, progressing impressions, and final impressions when I finish.  Just remember that this is my opinion and I have the right to my own beliefs just like you do.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go play Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Have a great day. :)

After Christmas

Hello everyone! I hope you had a good holiday, whether you celebrated Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or some other holiday. Did you enjoy time with your family and friends? Did you get what you wanted? I hope you did.  Personally, I didn't do much on Christmas, and I didn't really get what I wanted from my parents. So, my Christmas was very lackluster, but days before and after were fantastic. The Day before-day before Christmas party I got to hang out with my friends, and I got what I wanted from my Secret Santa. The same goes for the Christmas Potluck at my club. Yesterday, I went to work and we had a potluck, and it was really fun hanging out with all my co-workers. Long story short, I enjoyed myself more hanging out with my friends than my family.

Enough about that now. I came back to update you on the titles that I skipped over. I skipped over them for a reason. I didn't skip over too many titles, but I should still review them.

Hometown Story and Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove were the games I remember skipping over. If you noticed I skipped over anything else, let me know. The reasons I skipped over these few was that when explaining the games to friends of mine, I also saw a few reviews on the game. The reviews ranged from medium to low on the scale.

Of course these are other player's opinion, which do take into consideration. But sometimes, you need to play games for yourself to actually get the true experience. Although these games got kind of low reviews, they weren't extremely bad. Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove got a low review because it was a short, generic rhythm game. I think Hometown Story got low reviews because the gameplay was awkward. But the games aren't broken, and the gameplay doesn't seem extremely terrible from what I heard. Thus, I still want to play them. So no, I don't consider them to be off my list.

What I will take off my list is Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and BIT.TRIP Saga. I got Luigi's Mansion as a gift from a friend. From the same friend, not only did I get Bit.Trip Saga, but I got the whole collection, with the soundtracks. I'm currently playing Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and I am loving it. Don't worry, my sweetiebeans, I will tell you of my experience once I finish the game, so look out for that.

But until then, I hope you have a great day. :)

Christmas Eve

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house...
Everyone stayed up late playing video games! Yeaaaaah~! *thumbs up*

Seriously though, whatever you guys decide to do with today or tomorrow, I hope you enjoy yourselves. I hope you get exactly what you asked for.

Ok, and now to finish up this list super fast!

Eternal Sonata, Magna Carta 2, Tales of Vesperia, Culdcept Saga
I don't much about any of these games. All I know is that I wanted them for the same reasons. They both sound like fun RPGs, and they aren't shooters like CoD or GoW. Eternal Sonata is what I want to play the most out of all of these. The graphics look pretty, and it seems to have gotten high praise.

Skyrim
...Is this one too obvious. I actually have wanted this game as soon as it came out. How long was that ago, again? Either way, I hesitated to bring it up because not only did I have small doubts, but I heard you need a large amount of memory for it. I don't have the much memory for my 360.  I think I have a decent amount for it now.

Bully: Scholarship Edition, Saints Row IV
You might have heard me in the past say I don't like to play violent games. Well, that is kinda true. I don't like war games like CoD or GoW. I also don't like shooters very much. There is one exception to this though: GTA. There is quite a bit of violence, drugs, and gang stuff in that game. I'll admit, I have GTA V and I love it! I like open-world games, where I can walk around and do what I want, violent or not. I guess I like the option that I don't have to be violent if I don't want, and most of the time I am not on my own accord. In that sense, Bully and Saints Row also fits in this catagory. Espcially Saint's Row, with their customizable outfits.

Worms Collection
Ok, I've seeing this Worms game all over the place. I've watched Cryotic play Worms, I've watched PewDiePie play Worms, and I almost got a chance to play the first Worms game with my buds, but the disc was too scratched up to play.  That won't be the case no more with this game!

Viva Pinata
I played the demo of this game on the disc that came with my 360, and I was so much in love with the game! But, then I lost the disc, and then I was sad. You basically raise Pinatas from babies until grown up Pinatas. Think of it like those Facebook dragon games, but better because it's based from the old show Viva Pinata and it don't need friend requests to progress.

DuckTales Remastered
*hums the theme song* ~ <3
I never played the original game, but at least now I have the chance to play it. The graphics look cool, and controls seem fine, and from what I heard from Smooth McGroove, the music is amazing. Overall the game looks fun, so I want to try it for myself.

Ok, that is all the games I will cover for games I want to have. I know there are games that I missed, and I will come back to those after Christmas.

Until then, I hope you all have a happy holidays! Have a great day! :)

Day Before-Day Before Christmas Party?

Yep, that title makes as much sense to you as it does to me. But it's true, that is what I am going to tomorrow. It is a Christmas party that is the day before the day before Christmas. If you are still confused, It's tomorrow, on the 23rd. Christmas is on the 25th. The name refers to it being two days before Christmas.

So you probably won't hear from me on that day. But you can expect me to party my arse off! And no, I won't be drinking. I'm only 20, sheesh.

Anyway, we are almost done with the game list!

Okami
Awwwwww look at the cute doggie! <3
That is all.

...

Ok seriously, not really. Minus the fact that I am a huge fan of animals over humans, so me being able to play as a dog makes me want to do backflips of joy, the game looks like a bunch of fun. I watched Chuggaaconroy's Okami Let's Play, and I loved watching him playing. I also loved the graphics just as much as he did. Well, maybe a little less, I can't appreciate the game as much he can because I don't have the game.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
First of all, Legos are awesome. 2nd of all, I have played and watched bits of pieces of the Lego Star Wars games, but never the whole thing. Lastly, and don't pass out on me, I haven't watched any Star Wars movies. I only know its typical memes and popular lines such as "I am your father". On top of that, I've been wanting to learn more about it, but at the same time, I don't watch the Star Wars movies. I thought that maybe if I take a different approach, such as the video game, I will get more interested in the movies.

The Little King's Story
I saw AttackingTucans play this game and he seemed to enjoy it. I haven't personally played Pikmin, which is what this game compares to. I know it might sound weird that I want to work my way up to Pikmin. That is because although it is fun to watch, it isn't something I don't see myself playing. But Little King's Story looks cute, and I like cute things, so I want to try that game.

Have a great day! :)

So close, yet so far away!

Christmas is almost here! I'm so excited, it's not even funny how excited I am. Actually, it's rather hilarious.

I am almost completely prepared for the Holiday. I need to get something for my parents still. I've made gifts for my friends I know I am going to see soon. I know I made my Christmas list for my parents! I highly doubt they will get most of what I want, even out of the things that I circled from the super giant list.  If there was only one thing that I wanted, it would be the gift card. At least that way, I can buy whatever I want to, regardless of where it is. On top of that, they don't be in my buisness about what I will buy with it. >_>;

Anyway! More games that I want!

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love
This game, I actually heard through a friend of mine, that was trying to show me walkthrough of the game. We never ended up finishing that series. I don't remember if it was because we never got back around to it, or because I showed disinterest in it. Maybe it was both. Either way, I felt like I didn't give the game a true chance. I don't even remember the details of said game, because I didn't pay attention to any of it when we watched it. So I thought, maybe if I play it for myself, I will see it in a different light and appreciate it more because of it.

Rhythm Heaven Fever
From what I have heard of it, it's a rhythm game that in a micro-mini game style like Wario Ware Inc. I loved Wario Ware Inc., and I love rhythm games. So, combining the two concepts sounds like an awesome game in my book.

Spongebob: Truth or Square
Usually when there is a video game based on some TV show or cartoon, it usually isn't the best thing in the world. But from what this game looks like, it doesn't seem like it would be too bad. Also, for some reason I have memory of playing a Spongebob game in the past, and I actually liked it. I don't know why, I can't possibly think of what the game was. Either way, I like Spongebob, so I am willing to give this game a try.

Have a great day! :)

Being sick sucks!

You know when you are talking with you friend, and you are all like, "Man, I haven't been sick in almost a year!" And then a few days later you get sick? Yeah, I hate when that happens.

I still want to keep bringing you update though. Especially since its so close to Christmas. But I also really want to go to bed. I know its not good for me to be up longer than I need too. So I will do quick run-overs of games I want. You kind of know my tastes by this point, so for the rest of these games, you should see why I want to play them. For those that aren't so obvious, I will go over them more.

Super Paper Mario
I like to play RPG's, as well as I like to play Mario games. I also just like the concept that Mario is thin as paper, and thus acts like such in some cases. I also want Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

Pokepark: Pikachu's Adventure
I don't much about the Pokepark series. To me it sounds like you get to keep a whole bunch of Pokemon in some sort of park where they can play around. The game sounded interested, and I love Pokemon games.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
From the the Fire Emblem I played demo of on the 3DS, I come to learn that the Fire Emblem series is like a strategy RPG. I also realized I liked that Fire Emblem game, although I don't remember what it was called(I want that game as well, too!)

Have a great day! :)

Kirby: Super Star Ultra/Squeak Squad/Mass Attack/Canvas Curse

I'm technically showing my interests for 4 games at a time. I'll only be writing as if I'm only blogging for one game though. This is because I just have interest for the Kirby series in general.

Although I have these listed down here, this really covers all the Kirby games, from the past, present, and even the future. I want all the Kirby games! As for why, well, just look at the precious little thing!

It's adorable, even if it eats everything in sight with no trouble. Adorable isn't the only reason I want these games, though. I am interested in the Kirby series because from what I have known, they are quite simple platformer games that aren't very difficult at all.

If you wanted to start your child with a good simple game that doesn't take much time at all to figure out, Kirby is usually a great go-to. All there is running, jumping, and sucking/attacking as far as controls go. The levels aren't usually that difficult either. If there are hidden items, it doesn't take too much searching to find them.

Don't even get me started on the artistic aspects of Kirby games. When Kirby games first started out, one could say that the graphics could be a bit lackluster. But for what it was available at the time, I think they are amazing. Now that we are in 2013, and now almost 2014, Kirby is looking better than every before! There are more awesome mobs, and the scenery to me is breathtaking. On top of that, all Kirby games had amazing soundtracks. I still get themes from old Kirby games stuck in my head, and I haven't played them in years!

I miss all of those things! The last Kirby game I played was Kirby's Epic Yarn, and I was in love with that game. But there is a huge gap between that and the older Kirby games that I haven't played yet. I really want to fix that, because I miss Kirby.

With that, I hope you all have a great day! :)

More expected games!

Ok, so I owe you guys! Sorry I missed the bill!

I did say I was going to do more than one game per update, so why don't I start now?

Super Monkey Ball 3D
Another one of my favorite games I liked to play on the Gamecube was Super Monkey Ball. I mean, come on, those monkeys were cute! Adorable monkeys aside, I seem to be drawn towards games that take gravity into affect. Being able to control an object by messing with teh surroundings, or controlling a character has to go through the game while watching game. On top of that, Super Monkey Ball was basically a puzzle-like pinball game. That is pretty cool. I thought that Super Monkey Ball 3D would use similar gameplay.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team
I don't know much about Mario and Luigi Dream Team. I know that it came out this year, and its focus is supposedly on Luigi quite a bit. When I saw a small clip of this game, I was reminded of Bowser's Inside Story. I still haven't finished that game, but what I have played I did like. On top of that, I like Mario games.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to the Infinity
I saw some gameplay of this, and it looked amazing.  I even played the demo of it myself! I absolutely enjoyed it.  First of all, I enjoy the typical Pokemon games. Second of all, I like to consider myself a furry. I just find talking animals to be a lot more interesting than people. So being able to play the role of a Pokemon(or a human in a Pokemon's body, in this case) is a win for me. That isn't all that makes me want this game, though. Like the regular Pokemon games, its a strategy-based online game. The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, though, they are the same genre, but different. Since the strategy is more on the field, it adds a little bit more. It also makes a difference in regards of how many you can have in your party. Where you would usually are used to having 6 Pokemon in your party, you can only have 4 in this game. At least, this is how I know it to be. If this was the case, then it would change a lot in one's strategy. Now if you were drawn to that, then its a great game for you most likely. I, on the other hand, want to get it for story, as well as talking Pokemon.

Bit.Trip Saga
If you all haven't heard of the term Bit.Trip, I would probably be a bit confused. From Bit.Trip Beat to Beat.Trip Runner, all of these games have great music soundtracks, as well as the gameplay is a bit rhythm-based. Bit.Trip Runner is a running platformer game, where you have to collect things. The more things you collect, the better the music in the level that is playing gets. Bit.Trip Beat is basically a revved-up Pong game. It is more colorful, as well as it has rhythm-like aspects involved. The other of the series I remember, but I don't know if it is part of this Saga, is Bit.Trip Flux. What you are basically doing there is stopping objects from getting through with your lasers in a rhythmic fashion. My main draw this this game is rhythm and awesome music.

That is all for today. Again, so sorry that I am late.  Have a great day! :)

Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure

Now, as you might know me by now, I prefer to play games with friends. When I play games on my own, I tend be be picky. I usually don't like playing games with too much challenge, because I get easily discouraged. But its kind of different when it comes to one genre of games: Music and Rhythm games.

I am a big art person, and next to visual aspects, my next favorite in the art world is music. I love music of all genres, and I have even told you that one of my favorite aspects in video games is it's OST. I'm a huge fan of karaoke games, DDR and other dance games, and games like Rock Band and such. But all those games are more for party-like settings, when one is with family.

When I saw Rhythm Thief &the Emperor's Treasure, I was quite excited really. I hadn't really seen too many rhythm games that was more towards a single-player experience, let alone basically having its own storyline. I was able to get my hands on the demo of that game, and to be honest I enjoyed it a lot. I still have the demo on my 3DS for when I am in the mood for a rhythm game. Now, though, I desire to play more of the game. Again, this is one of those games that if I don't get it for Christmas, I will definitely get it when I have the money for it.

Have any of your played the game? If no, what were your first impressions when you saw this game? If yes, did you like your experience? Remember, keep it spoiler free!

Have a great day! :)

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

When I was a young child, I played games from time to time, but I didn't get more involved in video games until middle school, through my nephew(and a crush I had at the time, but that's another story for another day). I would watch him play games on the Gamecube, and after a while I would join him in certain games. One of my favorites that I loved to watch him play was Luigi's Mansion.

Luigi's Mansion took the place of the "shadow character" coming into light, Luigi, thinking he won a mansion. What it turns about to be is a that the prize was a lie, and the mansion is full of ghosts and Boos, and they have Mario captive. It is up to Luigi to save his brother. I loved this game for many reasons.

First of all, this was the first time I've seen Luigi in the spotlight. I mean, there are games that you can play as Luigi. This game was the first game, as far as I knew of, that was all about Luigi. It was him that was saving the day, not Mario.
Secondly, the game had a lot of comedic qualities. There was some funny dialogue and silly puns with the names of the Boos. Not only that, but just watching Luigi run around the mansion entertained me, seeing his reactions to his surroundings(even if it does sound sadistic). If there is one thing I know, I am a sucker for comedy.
Thirdly, even if the graphics weren't the greatest, I loved them. Come on, it took place in a mansion! I also loved the designs of the characters, the paintings on the wall, and just watching the animations of the ghosts and characters. If you don't know, I plan on being an animator for my dream career, and I am a very artsy person. I don't believe that graphics are the most important thing in games, but they are one of my favorite aspects of them, right next to it's OST(original soundtrack).
Lastly, the game was fun! It wasn't that difficult, and for the most part I knew where I was supposed to go. I see myself as a super-casual social player. When I usually play video games(or any games, for the matter) it is when I am with friends. If I am playing a game by myself, I can view myself with the heart of a child. By that, I mean that I don't really like playing really challenging games, for I don't play games for the challenge. In fact, difficult games discourage me most of the time. I usually end up aiming for family-friendly games, and this one fit the bill.

So, hearing the possibility of a second Luigi's Mansion coming out made me quite happy. Especially since I don't have my own copy of the first game. I thought it would be a good chance to play something new while hopping onto Nostalgia Express. Ever since the game came out, I have been avoiding it for the most part, since I don't want to spoil it for when I do get it. Even if I don't get it for Christmas, I do plan on getting it at one point or another.

So, what do you guys think? If you don't have it, are you looking forward to getting it? If you do, what do you think about the game? Does it live up to the first game, in your opinion? Keep it spoiler-free, though, ok?

Have a great day! :)

Christmas 2013: Games I look forward to

So the end of the year is coming around! It's the great time of year for buying and/or asking for games from your family and friends. I believe I've gotten a taste of what I have preferences in, so I let me tell what games I want to get for Christmas this year.

-3DS/DS Games:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Super Money Ball 3D
Mario and Luigi Dream Team
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to the Infinity
Hometown Story
Bit.Trip Saga
Rhythm Theif and the Emperor's Treasure
Mario Party Island Tour
Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove
Kirby: Super Star Ultra/ Squeak Squad/ Mass Attack/ Canvas Curse

-Wii/Gamecube:
Kirby's Dream Collector's Special Edition
Super Paper Mario
The Little King's Story
Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love
Rhythm Heaven Fever
PokePark: Pikachu's Adventure
Fire Emblem: Radian Dawn
Spongebob: Truth or Square
Okami
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

-Xbox 360:
Eternal Sonata
Tales of Vesperia
Skyrim
Magna Carta2
Culdcept Saga
Worms Collection
Bully: Scholarship Edition
Viva Pinata
DuckTales Remastered
Saints Row IV: Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition

Now there are a lot of games here, and I do want to share my reasons for me wanting all these games, regardless of how old they are. I'll say that first of all, I don't have a lot of games to begin with. I have a lot of Sonic games, Pokemon, Animal Crossing: New Leaf,  and then I've played free MMO's with other friends. Getting any of these games will definitely help me build my game library. I also have other reasons, though, and I'll go over them throughout the days, starting tomorrow. I'll probably go three games at a time, for both of our conveniences.

If you have any experiences with any of the listed games, please let me know of what you think! Have a great day! :)
